revenge of the nerds @ the american club
it was matthews 21st surprise party today; the look he had on his face when he arrived thinking that it was just gonna be a normal dinner with his family & instead saw all of us gathered to celebrate his birthday was priceless. his mum call us to inform bout the secret party & we managed to keep it frm him! amazing. quite an achievement indeed being the big mouths we are.
the party was named REVENGE OF THE NERDS! and of cos we were susposed to dress up as nerds. i wore my freakin' maris stella high shirt, all nicely aged & yellowed haha with checkered pants & chuck taylors. some of the guys actually turned up in full marist uniforms, complete with original badges & nametags; insane i tell you. we almost died laughing at each others "nerdiness"; but no one can compare to the birthday boy, he owned us all hands down. matthew is without a doubt the best nerd dresser i have ever seen; props to his get up ( shall upload photos soon). you guys gotta see this to believe it haha.
his parents did a great job in organising the party. there was an mc, dj, tables named "biggest nerds", test tubes with red wine, nerd spectacles, weird looking hats & many more details which went along with the nerd theme. the food was pretty decent too, and so was the chocolate fondue fountain haha. drinks were aplenty; and for some strange reason his dad kept goin on about how everyone needs to get drunk tonight haha. then... the big surprise came... the hot dancers tt his dad hired for the show. haha crazy shit balls. lap dancing & stripteases all night long. oh forgot to mentioned the birthday boy puke all over the stage; come on what to expect after downing 21 shots?!
headed down to zouk for awhile after the party. after after party aye?
before ending the night with good ol' bah kut teh at havelock road.
happy 21st bro!
though it still feels only like yesterday tt we were sipping on cafe lattes at starbucks, taking gay ass neoprints, hanging at ezone cine, playing laser & cs, listening to beasties & cypress hill, spending our dinners at marche, getting sloshed illegally & so much more bizarre shit we did as kids.
